Zwatra Industriële Verhuizingen makes a major contribution to the sustainable heat supply in Utrecht!

The team at Zwatra Industriële Verhuizingen specialises in industrial projects. In spring 2023, Zwatra Industriële Verhuizingen carried out a project for the Utrecht sewage treatment plant (RWZI).

In Utrecht, we played a key role in the installation of an innovative heat pump at a sewage treatment plant. Developed by Eneco, this heat pump uses the residual heat from the purified water to provide around 20,000 homes with sustainable heat.

Our team was responsible for transporting and accurately placing two 5-tonne transformers. At Zwatra Industriële Verhuizingen, an employee is not only a driver, but at the same time a mechanic, crane operator and forklift driver.

This project required precision work to get the transformers in the right place. Placing the transformers was done using a truck-mounted crane and ratchet hoists. Through meticulous work and teamwork, the team successfully completed this project.
