The founding of Zwatra

Zwatra was founded in 1945 by the Kroes family and for the first few years, it was located at Zwaanshals in Rotterdam-North. As the company continued to grow, a larger site was sought and found on the Spaanse Polder industrial estate in Rotterdam.

Zwatra was started in 1945 by the Kroes family and was initially located at Zwaanshals in the north of Rotterdam. As the company continued to grow, a larger site was sought and found on the Spaanse Polder industrial estate in Rotterdam. After the takeover of Delft-based Den Hoed Transport in 1996, it was decided to establish the entire company in Den Hoed's premises on Schieweg in Delft. That is where Zwatra is currently still located.
